Calcium silicate powder production process
Raw Material Preparation
The main raw materials used in the production of calcium silicate powder include silica and limestone. Silica is the main source of silicon while limestone provides calcium.
Batching
Silica and limestone are dosed in a certain ratio according to production requirements. The proportion of ingredients affects the composition and properties of the final product and therefore needs to be precisely controlled.
Mixing
The ingredients are mixed to ensure an even distribution of the various components and a homogeneous mix to produce a high quality finished product.
Molding
After mixing, the raw materials need to be molded, usually into granules or blocks.
Roasting
The purpose of roasting the molded material at high temperatures is to cause a chemical reaction between the silica and calcium in the material to produce silica-calcium compounds. The temperature and duration of this process need to be adjusted to the specific process.
Crushing and Sieving
The roasted product needs to be crushed and sieved to obtain calcium-silicon powders of different particle sizes. The purpose of pulverizing and sieving is to ensure that the particle size of the product meets the requirements and to remove impurities.
Packaging and Storage
Finally, the crushed and sieved calcium silicate powder is packaged, usually in tonne bags or woven bags. After packaging, the product can be stored or sold directly.
