Recarburiser Graphitised Petroleum Coke Description
Due to improper batching or charging and excessive decarburisation, the carbon content of steel in the smelting process does not meet the expected requirements and the steel must be carburised. Commonly used carbon enhancers are: electrode powder, petroleum coke powder, charcoal powder, coke powder and pig iron. Oxygen converter smelting of medium and high carbon steel with the carburisation method, often with petroleum coke containing few impurities to increase carbon.
High purity graphitised petroleum coke (GPC) is made from high quality petroleum coke, refined at a temperature of 2500-3500℃. As a high-purity carbon material with high fixed carbon content, low sulphur, low ash and low porosity, it can be used as a carburant (Carburizing Agent) to produce high-quality steel, cast iron and alloys.GPC can also be used as an additive in the manufacture of plastics and rubber.
