Ferro Silica is an iron-silicon alloy smelted in electric furnace with coke, scrap steel and quartz (or silica) as raw materials. Widely used in iron and steel industry, casting industry and other industrial production. Because silicon and oxygen can easily synthesize silica, ferro Silica is a good deoxidizer in steelmaking. In the foundry industry, ferro silica is an important alloying element additive. Widely used in low alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel, electrical silicon steel, etc.

Application

Ferro Silica helps to improve hardness and deoxidation properties, while also improving the strength and quality of steel products. It is used to make inoculants and spheroidizing agents, which can give the final product specific metallurgical properties. These features include:
