Graphitised petroleum coke is a kind of petroleum coke treated by high temperature calcination. It changes the physical and chemical properties of petroleum coke through high-temperature treatment, and the carbon atoms are arranged in a highly ordered manner, showing a layered graphite crystal structure, which significantly improves electrical conductivity, chemical stability and carbon purity. This graphitised petroleum coke can be applied in many fields.
Performance indicators
| Indicator | Range | Description |
| Fixed carbon content | ≥98% - 99.5% | Extremely high carbon purity and low impurities determine the efficiency of carbon enhancement. |
| Fixed carbon content | ≤0.3% - 0.5% | Low sulphur characteristics reduce the sulphur pollution of metal liquid, suitable for high-end casting. |
| Ash content | ≤0.5% - 1.0% | Low ash content means less non-carbon impurities, less slag in melting process. |
| Volatile matter | ≤0.5% | Almost completely removed after high temperature treatment, avoiding gas defects during melting. |
| Resistivity | 8 - 15 μΩ·m | Conductivity close to artificial graphite, suitable for electrode materials. |
| Absorption | 85% - 95% | High dissolution efficiency in iron water, reducing carbon loss. |
