Ferro Manganese Medium Carbon is an alloy of manganese and iron,which also contains a small amount of other elements such as carbon, silicon and phosphorus. According to the different carbon content, it can be divided into Ferro Manganese High Carbon, Ferro Manganese Medium Carbon and Ferro Manganese Low Carbon. It contains enough silicon called manganese-silicon alloys. The higher the silicon content of the alloy, the lower its carbon and phosphorus content.

Application of Ferro Manganese Medium Carbon

As a deoxidizer and desulfurizer. The affinity between manganese and oxygen is greater than that between iron and oxygen,and almost all steel types must be deoxidized with Ferro Manganese Medium Carbon. In the steelmaking process, manganese can also reduce FeS to generate stable MnS that is insoluble in molten steel,so manganese is also a desulfurizer.

As an alloying element, manganese is added to molten steel to alloy the steel, thereby improving the mechanical properties of the steel, increasing the strength, hardness, ductility, toughness and wear resistance of the steel.
