Silicon ball is a new type of ferroalloy product, which is generally made by silicon ball manufacturers through professional silicon ball equipment to press silicon powder with different silicon content, in fact, silicon ball or silicon brick has a wide range of uses in many industries, especially in the steelmaking industry. Its low price has made it a good alternative to metal silicon and ferrosilicon as a deoxidizer in steel production and has been accepted by more and more factories around the world. Oxygen removal with this material is faster than with FeSi, C and CaC 2 , thus increasing yield and speed, and in addition to oxygen removal, it produces a favourable reducing and white slag, which removes inclusions and improves desulphurisation tendencies.
