Low carbon ferro silicon is a ferro alloy product mainly composed of silicon, carbon and iron. In general, its silicon content is between 40% and 60%, carbon content is between 0.05% and 0.15%, and iron content accounts for a relatively small amount. Storage of low carbon ferrosilicon
Storage environment
Low-carbon ferrosilicon should be stored in a dry, ventilated, moisture-proof, fireproof environment, where the general temperature does not exceed 30℃ and the humidity is not greater than 80%.
Storage container
Low carbon ferrosilicon storage containers are generally used seamless steel tubes, iron drums, plastic drums and so on. The storage process should be kept airtight to avoid water vapor intrusion, causing oxidation and fire of ferrosilicon, and to prevent pollution.
Storage method
Ferrosilicon storage should be avoided directly on the ground, you can use wooden boards to isolate, to prevent moisture intrusion. At the same time, the storage location should be relatively independent to avoid mutual contamination with other substances.
Storage Precautions
1. The storage period of ferrosilicon should be controlled within 6 months, and the product quality should be checked before the use of products exceeding the period.
2. Ferrosilicon should be inspected regularly during storage, and if there is any change, it should be dealt with in time.
3. The storage environment should not be damp or too dry to avoid fire.
4. Ferrosilicon should avoid contact with corrosive items.
