Product Introduction

Ferro silicon magnesium (FeSiMg) is a good spheroidal agent, sometimes containing rare earth elements, with strong mechanical strength and deoxidation and desulphurisation. It is widely used in metallurgical industry. It is one of the most important additives in the production of ductile iron.

Regarding the spherical catalyst, cerium spherical catalyst was used at the beginning, but later it was found that cerium was difficult to obtain and had strict requirements for steel. Later, magnesium spherical hardener was found and developed from magnesium-nickel alloy and magnesium-copper alloy to iron silicon magnesium alloy spherical hardener. FeSiMg is easy to produce in large quantities and has been used as a spherical hardener to expand the production of ductile iron.

Application

Ferrosilicon is a spheroidising agent and inoculant for cast iron. Rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloy, also known as magnesium alloy spheroidising agent, has strong deoxidising and desulphurising effect. FeSiMg is used in steelmaking or iron casting industry for refining, deoxidation, denaturation, removal of low melting point harmful impurities (lead, arsenic, etc.), solid solution alloying and formation of new metal compounds. Purification of steel.
