Cored Wire

Product Description

Cored Wire is a wire made of iron alloy powder wrapped in a steel strip. The technology is an advanced refining method in steelmaking and casting industry. The use of cored wire allows the melting material to be added to steel or molten iron more efficiently during the steelmaking or casting process, and allows the cored wire to be inserted into the desired position by specialized wire feeding equipment. When the outer skin of the cored wire melts, the alloy core can be fully dissolved in the desired position and chemical reactions occur. In order to use alloy cored wire for steelmaking and casting, a feeder is required. Generally, low-density, easily oxidizable additives are put into the steel strip, and then the cored wire is put into the deep molten steel. Compared with the placement of bulk materials, the use of cored wire can obtain a higher yield and refining hit rate. Generally speaking, it is suitable for fine adjustment of alloy elements in steel.
