Silicon carbide (SIC) is a semiconductor that occurs in nature in the form of the extremely rare mineral moissanite. It is a lightweight ceramic material with high strength properties comparable to diamonds. It has excellent thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion and acid corrosion resistance. SIC is an excellent ceramic material for applications that require good corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and wear resistance. Therefore, it can be used for a variety of purposes such as nozzles, blast nozzles and cyclone assemblies.
