High carbon ferromanganese is a representative product of ferromanganese alloys and refers to ferromanganese with a carbon content between 2.0% and 8.0%. Ferromanganese is an iron alloy with iron and manganese as its main components. The main components of high carbon ferromanganese contain impurities such as silicon, carbon, sulfur and manganese ore in addition to manganese and iron. Its common particle size is mainly in the form of natural lumps (20-150mm) or processed lumps (10-100mm) or powder, and it can also be processed according to customers' requirements. Application of High Carbon Ferromanganese






Ferromanganese is widely used in steelmaking industry, foundry industry, ferroalloy industry and other industrial production.
- Iron and steel industry: Ferromanganese is an indispensable deoxidizer and desulfurizer in steel making industry. Good steel needs to be deoxidized and desulfurized when smelting, and the use of deoxidizer will greatly increase its cost, so ferromanganese is a kind of cheap deoxidizer, and desulfurization refers to the detachment of sulfur and other hazardous substances from the steel, and ferromanganese can be very good to achieve the purpose of desulfurization to effectively reduce the content of hazardous elements in the steel and improve the quality of the steel. In the steel making industry, every ton of steel produced consumes about 3~5kg of 75% ferromanganese.
- Foundry industry: Ferromanganese can be added into cast iron to be used as the inoculant and spheroidizing agent of ductile iron, and it can prevent the formation of carbide, promote the precipitation of graphite and greatly shorten the spheroidizing time, and it can also greatly reduce the form of impurities in the iron water, enhance the quality of cast iron, and improve the performance of cast iron.
- Ferroalloy industry: High-carbon ferromanganese or manganese alloy is used as a reducing agent in the production of low-carbon ferroalloys.
- Other industries: Ferromanganese powder can be used as suspension phase in mineral processing industry, used for welding rod coating in welding rod manufacturing industry, high carbon ferromanganese can be used for the preparation of semiconductor pure manganese in electrical industry, used for the manufacture of manganese ketone in chemical industry, and so on.
