Manganese is a metal with specific gravity of 7.3, melting point of 1244℃ and boiling point of 2097℃, and it is not eroded by oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen at room temperature. Manganese can also be generated with copper, nickel, aluminum, magnesium and other heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy materials.

Manganese Mn is an essential raw material for the manufacture of steel, and about 90% of the manganese produced globally is consumed in the production of steel. Mn improves the physical properties of steel by eliminating impurities such as sulfur and oxygen during the steelmaking process and by improving strength, hardness and resistance to wear. Manganese also improves the rolling and forging qualities of steel as well as its weldability. As there is no substitute for mn at present, its use in the steel industry will remain irreplaceable for the foreseeable future.
