Calcium silicon manganese is an alloy material consisting mainly of three elements: silicon, calcium and manganese. The silicon content is 40-60 per cent, the calcium content is 10-30 per cent and the manganese content is 10-30 per cent. Calcium silicon manganese can be used as a refining agent to remove impurities from metals. Calcium and manganese can react with oxides, sulphides and other impurities in the metal to form oxides and sulphides that are easy to float in order to purify the metal. In addition, it can also be used as a deoxidiser.
